Control of Monitoring and Measuring Devices

Control of Monitoring Measuring Devices (SOP 76-01) establishes a standard method for controlling and documenting the maintenance of all monitoring and measuring devices (MMD). All MMD equipment must be calibrated, used, and stored properly.

Make sure MMD equipment is immediately removed when found out of calibration. Also, ensure accuracy and precision requirements are established for MMD equipment. Ensure accuracy and precision requirements are established for all MMD equipment. Use Form 76-1, Equipment Calibration Record to document equipment calibrations if calibrations are performed in-house.

Servicing (SOP 75-09) establishes a standard method for documenting service requests. Make sure service personnel do not service notes on pieces of paper, note pads, and Post-Itä notes. They can easily be lost under stacks of paper, fall behind desks, or get stuck in end boxes. Use Form 75-4, Service Record to help you document all service requests
